Kansas City, Missouri – City Hall Fence Wrap

Partnering with Piper Wind Architects, Design Ranch was tasked with creating an eye-catching and informative campaign for the construction of the new Kansas City Missouri City Hall parking garage. The key challenge was developing visuals that conveyed the purpose of the construction project while resonating with the community’s diverse culture and dynamic spirit. Merely showcasing the parking garage plans would likely fail to engage residents. Design Ranch envisioned a creative solution to transform an everyday construction site into something special, highlighting what makes the Kansas City community unique.

Design Ranch collaborated with local Latino artist Marisol Ortega, known for her vibrant illustrations that explore diverse cultures. Inspired by the sights and energy of Kansas City, Marisol’s unique style became central to our approach. Together, we crafted a parking garage fence wrap that showcased the construction project while celebrating the spirit of Kansas City. Marisol’s illustrations played with textures, linework, and bold colors to organically transform the site into an eye-catching piece of art. The result informed the community and resonated with the city’s essence — turning a parking garage into a standout example of civic beautification.
