French Custard turned to Design Ranch when they wanted to take their brand from pop-up spaces to a permanent storefront. The Kansas City-based company makes small-batch, French-style ice cream from scratch using only three key ingredients. They needed a trend-forward but accessible brand to match the flavor profile of their innovative, craft ice cream.
approach
Design Ranch created the French Custard brand with custom typography and a series of illustrations of a character we call “Scoop.” The result is expressive and bold with a mischievous edge, inviting ice cream lovers to indulge in French Custard’s exquisite artisanal flavors. We used a minimal color palette of black, white, and French blue for a clean and interesting look and translated the brand onto the ice cream packaging and throughout French Custard’s new interior space.
