Ripple Glass
Inviting everyone join the party and recycle your glass
challenge
Ripple Glass was created by the founders of Boulevard Brewing Company in response to the growing problem of glass waste in landfills. The new company faced the challenge of establishing a brand encouraging active involvement from individual recyclers and environmentally responsible businesses in the Kansas City region. Ripple Glass needed to inspire a sense of environmental responsibility and participation in glass recycling within the community.
approach
Our approach involved the update and modernization of a straightforward yet impactful logo featuring a glass bottle with wings. This symbolized the transformative solution offered by Ripple Glass. The use of purple in the logo was chosen to align with the color of Ripple’s recycling bins, creating a visual link to their physical presence in the community. To support the recycling initiative, we developed a strategic campaign that underscored the notion of “second life — of the party.” This direction encouraged the target to join the party and recycle their glass at one of the many Ripple bins in and around Kansas City. The language speaks to the 21 and older target audience in a light-hearted way that makes recycling your glass at Ripple feel like an event you don’t want to miss out on. These visual cues were strategically employed to support Ripple Glass’s mission, enhance brand recognition, and get more people to join the party.
