The Oxbow

Americo approached Design Ranch to name and brand a new, high-end residential tower in an up-and-coming neighborhood of North Kansas City, Missouri. The project has some of the best amenities of any multi-family development in Kansas City and needed a brand and materials that could showcase the space. The upscale flats give people the chance to live a condo lifestyle near the city but in a peaceful vibrant community of its own north of the river.

Named after the “Oxbow” bend in the Missouri River, this 290,000-square-foot mixed-use project, The Oxbow Apartments, was created with the sophistication and camaraderie reminiscent of exclusive social spaces. Working closely to align the brand with the space, we leveraged dark woods, colors and textures inspired by a vintage speakeasy or social club. The building’s primary sign is reminiscent of a historic marque, and the placement becomes an iconic billboard for the neighborhood. Marketing materials were styled to carry the legacy of distinguished gatherings while highlighting the benefits of optimal location and luxury living.
